Holi is an ancient Indian spring festival celebrated in Indian and other parts of Asia, also known as the festival of colours. It signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring and is also celebrated as a thanks giving for a good harvest.

Our chefs will take you on a journey to their childhood in India by recreating some traditional Holi dishes.

To mark the occasion, we have organised Johnathan Mayer to play traditional Indian music on the sitar. Johnathan is one of the most well-known Sitarist in the UK and has collaborated with the likes of Sir Paul McCartney & the BBC Concert Orchestra.

Direct views of the sitarist will be on a first come, first served basis. 

HOLI EVENT MENU

INDIAN RUM, AVOCADO, MANGO AND COCONUT  LASSI
Lassis are a great beverage to kick start our Holi feast. Combination of sweet mango with avocado and coconut makes this a great appetiser.


VEGETABLE  SAMOSA, SPICED CHICKPEA, ASSORTED CHUTNEYS
Dough pockets filled with savoury fillings. Crispy chick pea flour noodles and sweet and savoury chutneys turn  samosas into a great street food dish.
 

PULLED CHICKEN AND SPRING ONION PAKORAS, FRESH CORIANDER CHUTNEY
These moorish fritters are eaten extensively during Holi throughout India
 

PANI POORI

PURI WITH PRAWN AND POTATO BHAJI
Traditional Indian bread eaten with a delicious potato stew eaten a lunch time dish during spring.
 

TRADITIONAL HOLI  THALI
Cumin rice, Butter chicken on the bone,Lamb shoulder slow cooked on the bone, vegetables kadai, Tadka Dal, Cocktail chili garlic naan, poppadoms, raita .
